I tried restarting a few times and only once it was successful, but the drive capacity this time was showing up as 128GB instead of 1TB The device is not listed If it's completely black or the monitor shows "no signal" then something has been dislodged in the case. If you get dust in there it's anything from a boot failure to seeming stable but bluescreening occasionally. Problem is that when you turn it on it gets to a black screen that says "read failure on internal hard drive". All times are GMT -5.

I consider myself a capable computer user, but in no way a technician/expert, and I'm completely stuck for ideas. Did you replace your system (OS) drive, or a secondary (data) drive?Replaced the OS drive as I wanted a fresh install. The SSD is priority 1 when the other drive isn't attached, so I would think that'd hold true when another is attached?

It's not a problem but dust around the RAM slots could easily be squeezed into the gap as the board flexed, breaking the contact with the golden fingers on the RAM. I don't think you'd notice if the boot order was messed up if it did not have both drives connected while you were in the BIOS screens. Windows 10 Can anyone help out here?
