but the sounds was only coming through the hdmi monitor… this fixed it for me. Set the drop-downs to 'Restart the Service'. But, my issue is only a loss of sound if I come out of sleep or hibernate on fresh install windows 10 on a brand new high end gaming rig. luckily I was able to go back to 8.1 and have sound again. I have also installed all the drivers from my manufacturer's website and it seems to me that it's the first time I have a problem with my drivers... All thumbs I and constantly hit wrong buttons. And lastly, try to find in Event Viewer where the audio stops working...
Found out that whilst I had 24GB installed, less that 4GB was being reported as being available. If you’ve done so but still can’t hear any sound, try to modify the speakers properties.Step 1. I plugged in my old speakers to verify and sure enough still no sound. You could try uninstalling the audio drivers and reboot so that Windows installs default drivers.

The laptop manufacturer's website together with your model number should be enough to find the drivers. A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. My Toshiba Satellite P755 has excellent built-in Harman/Kardon speakers, which are one of the reasons I bought it in the first place. read this article I thought I was going to have to take it in for repair.
