Since I had only one monitor directly connected to the GTX 970, I thought I may be "safe" from these issues. I can't boot into Windows, just get blank screens, and the fan in my GTX 780 goes absolutely apeshit. I ended up just taking the gpu out and booted the computer using the mobo. This sometimes suggests that something else may be going on.
