This actually fixed my problem. I went to microsoft and downloaded both the memory diagnostic tool and the Resource kit tools, cause that's what microsoft said to do, and what do you know!!!! Ubuntu has the most support. The no slowness may be due to having 12GB RAM a 500GB SSD and Intel Core i7-4510U.Anyways, my suggestion is to upgrade to a SSD for your computer to make sure
